REMOVE NET DEVICE FROM VEHICLE
WARNING
Approach all vehicles stopped by the VLAD with caution. On some occasions the vehicle may be stopped but
still have limited mobility.
Before removing net device from vehicle, make sure situation is under control.
Avoid unnecessary handling of the net device to prevent hand injury from barbed spikes. Wearing leather gloves
is recommended.
To prevent personnel injury, do not step on barbed spikes on the leading edge of the net.
1.
Once occupant(s) of the stopped vehicle have been dealt with and situation is under control, use a sharp knife to remove
the bulk of the net from vehicle tires. Be careful not to step on barbed spikes.
2.
Dispose of any remaining netting to prevent unauthorized re-use.
3.
Recover the vehicle in accordance with local SOP.
