Semitrailer disconnected from prime mover

NOTE
Service and emergency couplings are removed and installed in the
same way.
General Procedure:
a. Removal.
1.
Remove three self-tapping screws (1) and swivel coupling (3 or 5). Discard self-tapping screws.
2.
Remove seal (4 or 6) from swivel coupling (3 or 5). Discard seal (Red seal emergency air, blue
seal service air.).
3.
Remove four self-tapping screws (1) and plates (2) from semitrailer bulkhead. Discard self-
tapping screws.
b. Installation.
1.
Install plate (2) and four new self-tapping screws (1) to semitrailer bulkhead.
2.
Install new seal (4 or 6) onto swivel coupling (3 or 5).
3.
Install swivel coupling (3 or 5) and three new self-tapping screws (1).
4.
If seal dust cover (7) is damaged, replace one or both dust covers.
