PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE
CHECKS
AND SER'VICES
4-6. General.
a.
To ensure the Low\ Profile Tank
Dispensing
Unit, Trailer
Mounted is ready for operation at
all times. It must be inspected systematically
so that defects may be discovered
and corrected
before the
result
in seriousy damagedor failure
b.
The necessary\ preventive maintenance
checks and services to be performed
by unit
maintenance
personnel are listed in Table 4-1 and described
in Chapter 4. Section V.
c.
Defects discovered during operation of the unit will
be noted on DA Form 2404,
(Equipment
Inspection
and Maintenance
Worksheet),
for future corrections
to be made as soon
as operation
has ceased. Stop operation
immediately
if a deficiency
is noted which would
damage the equipment
or harm personnel
if operation
were continued.
d.
Record all deficiencies,
shortcomings
and the corrective
action taken on the DA Form
2404 at the earliest possible opportunity.

Unit Preventive
Maintenance
Checks and Services.
a.
Table 4-1 contains a tabulated list of preventive
checks and services, which must be
performed
by unit maintenance
personnel.
b.
The interval column designates the required service interval. A quarterly
interval
is equal
to three calendar months or two hundred and fifty
hours of operation,
whichever
occurs first.
c.
Refer to Table 4-1 for unit maintenance
checks and services.
