VEHICLE PREPARATION (continued)
66. Position two tube canister brackets (172) on crossmembers (36) and fender (40). Align holes of
two tube canister brackets (172) with existing holes of crossmembers (36) and install with
sixteen flat washers (167), eight capscrews (168), and eight self-locking nuts (166). Do not fully
tighten hardware.
67. Install two tube canister brackets (172) on fender (40) with twelve flat washers (163), six
capscrews (162), and six self-locking nuts (165). Torque self-locking nuts
to 30-35 lb-ft (41-48 Nm).
68. Torque self-locking nuts (166) to 55-65 lb-ft (71-88 Nm).
NOTE
The rear fender tube canister bracket does not mount to a crossmember.
69. Install rear tube canister bracket (172) on fender (40) with four flat washers (163), two
capscrews (162), and two self-locking nuts (165). Torque self-locking nuts
to 30-35 lb-ft (41-48 Nm).
NOTE
Vehicle preparation has been completed. Forward the semittrailer to the
appropriate facility for FTSS application.
