GENERAL
Although the VLAD requires no maintenance, the following steps will enhance the life and reliability of the system.
1.
Check the system before use. This is especially important if VLAD has been stored longer than three months. Report any
damage that may prevent performance of the system.
2.
Every three months, lay the net device on the ground to ensure the material does not set in a creased manner. This can also
be accomplished by normal training and rotation of systems.
3.
If the VLAD was deployed in wet weather but was not used, lay the net out to dry before performing repacking proce-
dures to prevent mold growth. See WP 0006 00, REPACKING THE NET DEVICE.
4.
Modifications or repairs are not authorized.
