NOTE
Operation begins and ends with all valves closed.
a. Remove fire extinguishers (1) and bring them to the point of operation.
b. Ground and bond semitrailer per para. C(WP 0007 00-6).
c.
Remove one or both vapor recovery system caps.
d. Start engine (para. G). When engine is warm, adjust to idle speed (10001200 rpm).
e. Pull emergency valve A control handle (5) to open position. Open valves F, H, and K (3, 4,
and 2).
OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS--Continued
f.
Install fuel dispensing nozzles (8) onto end of 1-1/4 in. hose (7).
g.Install fuel dispensing nozzles (8) into vehicle fuel tank/container.
h. Open valve P (6) for front hose reel or valve R (6) for rear hose reel.
i.
Reset meters to zero by pushing in meter reset knobs and turning clockwise.
j.
Adjust engine speed to desired flow rate (4488 gpm [167333 Lpm] @ 12002400 rpm).
