TM 10-6640-239-13 5-24 5-13. FUME VENT BLOWER AND MOTOR. This task consists of: a. Remove b. Install INITIAL SET-UP Tools Required General Mechanics Tool Kit, (Appendix B, Section III, Item 1) Materials/Parts Required Lockwashers, (4) General Safety Instructions WARNING ELECTRICAL SHOCK Before performing any maintenance actions on electrical equipment, ensure all electrical power has been turned off. Failure to comply with this warning may result in serious injury or death. REMOVE Remove Fume Vent Blower and Motor. See Figure 5-9. a. At Power Panel No.2, set circuit breaker A15CB11 OFF. b. Remove access panel from blower motor junction box (1). Tag and disconnect wiring and conduit (2). c. Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect discharge duct (4) from blower housing (5). d. Remove four nuts (6), eight lockwashers (7), washers (8) four dampers (9), and screws (10) securing motor bracket (11) to equipment shelf (12). Discard lockwashers. e. Loosen clamp (13) on suction duct (14) and remove blower motor (15) and motor bracket (11) from equipment shelf (12). f. Remove four screws (16), eight washers (17), four lockwashers (18), nuts (19), and blower motor (15) from motor bracket (11). Discard lockwashers. g. On small fume vent blower and motor, remove two screws (20) and discharge adapter (21) from blower housing (5). INSTALL Install Fume Vent Blower and Motor. See Figure 5-9. a. Install discharge adapter (21) and secure with two screws (20). b. Position blower motor (15) on motor bracket (11) and secure with four screws (16), eight washers (17), four lockwashers (18), and nuts (19). c. Place blower motor (15) and motor bracket (11) on equipment shelf (12) and secure suction duct (14) to blower housing (5) by tightening clamp (13). d. Secure motor bracket (11) to equipment shelf (12) with four nuts (6), eight lockwashers (7), washers (8), four dampers (9), and screws (10). e. Install discharge duct (4) and secure by tightening clamp (3). f. Connect wiring and conduit (2) to blower motor (12) and junction box (1). Remove tags.
