TM 10-6640-238-13 4-122 4-50.    BURNOUT FURNACE. This task consists of: a. Remove b. Install INITIAL SET-UP Tools Required General Mechanics Tool Kit, (Appendix B, Section III, Item 1) Portable Electric Drill (Appendix B, Section III, Item 2) ) Twist Drill Set, (Appendix B, Section III, It em 2) Materials/Parts Required Lockwashers, (8) General Safety Instructions WARNING ELECTRICAL SHOCK Before  performing  any  maintenance  actions  on  electrical  equipment,  ensure  all electrical power has been turned off.  Failure to comply with this warning may result in serious injury or death. REMOVE Remove Burnout Furnace.  See Figure 4-46. a. Unplug burnout furnace (1) power cord from wall receptacle. b. Open drawers F1 and G1 and remove eight screws (2), washers (3), lockwashers (4), and nuts (5) that secure two brackets (6) to countertop.  Discard lockwashers. c. Remove burnout furnace (1). d. Remove eight screws (7) attaching brackets (6) to burnout furnace (1) and remove bracket. INSTALL Install Burnout Furnace.  See Figure 4-46. a. Using bracket (6) as template, scribe and drill holes in burn-out furnace (1). b. Install eight screws (7) that secure brackets (6) to burnout furnace (1). c. Place burnout furnace (1) with brackets (6) onto countertop and secure with eight screws (2), washers (3), lockwashers (4), and nuts (5). d. Plug burnout furnace (1) power cord into wall receptacle. e. Verify proper operation.
