PMCS PROCEDURES.
The following paragraphs describe the PMCS and each Column. See Table 4-1.
a.
Purpose of PMCS Table. The PMCS table lists the inspections and care equipment required to keep it in good
operating condition.
b.
Item Number . Item numbers are assigned in chronological, ascending sequence regardless of interval
designation. These numbers are used for the TM number column on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and
Maintenance Worksheet, in recording results of PMCS.
c.
Interval. Tells when to do specified Inspections.
d.
Item to Inspect. Identifies the item to be Inspected.
e.
Procedures. Provides Inspection criteria for each item. Repair or adjustments must be performed before Mod
Lab A can be put into operation. Direct support maintenance must perform the work, if tools are not available
or instructed by the procedure.
f.
Not Fully Mission Capable If:. Defines what makes the equipment is not ready to perform mission.

LEAKAGE DEFINITIONS FOR UNIT PMCS.
It is necessary to know how fluid leaks affect the status of equipment. The following are definitions of the types/classes of
leakage needed to know to be able to determine the status of equipment. Learn and be familiar with them and REMEMBER -
WHEN IN DOUBT, NOTIFY YOUR SUPERVISOR.
Class I
Seepage of fluid (as indicated by wetness or discoloration) not great enough to form drops.
Class II
Leakage of fluid great enough to form drops but not enough to cause drops to drip from item
being checked/inspected.
Class III
Leakage of fluid great enough to form drops that fall from the item being checked/inspected.
