INITIAL INSTALLATION

WARNING

The armor plates of the Add-On-Armor (AOA) kit are heavy and

awkward. Two personnel are required at all times when installing the

armor plates on the semitrailer. Failure to do so may result in injury

to personnel or damage to equipment.

NOTE

Refer to Table 4-1, AOA Kit Contents List, for a list of all AOA kit components.

1. Install belly panel (4) on semitrailer with four T-bolts (1), four flat washers (3), and four self-

locking nuts (2). Do not fully tighten hardware.

2. Install belly panel (5) on semitrailer with four T-bolts (1), four flat washers (3), and four self-

locking nuts (2). Do not fully tighten hardware.

3. Install belly panel (5) on belly panel (4) with six capscrews (6), six lockwashers (7), and six flat

washers (3). Do not fully tighten hardware.

4. Tighten belly panel (4) and belly panel (5) hardware. Torque capscrews and self-locking nuts

to 55-65 lb-ft (75-88 Nm).
