Push LIFT CYLINDER control lever (7) to retract lift cylinder (8) until tow cylinders (9) are even with ground.
NOTE
Tow cylinders should remain even with ground during step (7).
7.
Alternately extend lift and tow cylinders until tow cylinders (9) are extended approximately 10 in. (25 cm).
CAUTION
Do not contact pintle hook with lift cylinder or equipment damage may result.
8.
Pull LIFT CYLINDER control lever (7) to lower disabled vehicle to ground allowing safety chain at front axle to
remain slack.
WARNING
If disabled vehicle's parking brake is inoperative, chock wheels of disabled vehicle.
Failure to chock wheels may result in injury to personnel.
9.
Apply PARKING BRAKE and place transmission in PARK on disabled vehicle (refer to M1008 operator's
manual).
