FILTER/SEPARATOR REPLACEMENT--Continued

2.
Place suitable container under filter/separator (1), remove plug to assist draining, and open valve
(13) to drain any residual fuel.
3.
Remove four nuts (9), bolts (10), two split couplings (11), and seals (12) from filter/separator (1).
Discard seals.
4.
Remove four fittings (5) from filter/separator (1).
5.
Remove clips (4) from brackets (3) at top of filter/separator (1). Discard clips.
WARNING
Position forklift under filter/separator to support weight.
Failure to follow this warning could result in injury in
personnel or damage to equipment.
6.
Remove four self-locking nuts (6), washers (7), two mounting brackets (8), and filter/separator (1)
from semitrailer. Discard self-locking nuts.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install filter/separator (1), two mounting brackets (8), four washers (7), and new self-locking nuts (6)
to semitrailer.
2.
Install four fittings (5) on filter/separator (1).
3.
Install two new seals (12), split couplings (11), four bolts (10), and nuts (9) to filter/separator (1).
