APPENDIX D OPERATOR/CREW PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS) GENERAL Your Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services Table lists the inspections and care of your equipment required to keep it in good operating condition Record all deficiencies and shortcomings along with corrective action taken on DA Form 2404 OPERATOR CREW PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES 1. The number column of your PMCS is the source for the number used on the TM Number Column on DA Form 2404 2. The inter al column of your PMCS Table tells your when to do a certain check of service a. While you operate, perform your Before (B) PMCS  Always keep in mind the WARNINGS and CAUTIONS. b. While you operate, perform your During (D) PMCS.  Always keep in mind the WARNINGS and CAUTIONS. c. Right after you operate, perform your After (A) PNICS. 3. The procedure column of your PMCS Table tells you how to do the required checks and services Carefully follow these instructions  If you do not have the tools, or if the procedure tells you to.  have unit maintenance do the ,work 4. If  your  equipment  does  not  perform  as  required,  refer  to  the  troubleshooting  section  in  this  manual  for  possible problems.  Report any malfunctions or failures on the proper DA Form 2404 or refer to D.A Pamphlet 738-750 C-16
